Mindbender #6 is one of the earliest Origin-series builds, born in April of 2019. It belongs to the wooden-roller era (first ~10 builds) and showcases Blindworm’s commitment to fine materials: solid Padauk body/neck, Roasted Birch roller blocks (cut-offs from the Blindworm Cragg’s neck), Cocobolo saddle, Osage Orange knobs with Padauk caps (Extras from the Blindworm Kraken build), and premium hardware.
A mark of the earliest Origin series builds, #6 remains a pure wooden-roller Bender — warm, tactile, and responsive. It was used as a functional instrument in the world’s first Mindbender Orchestra at UCCS, giving it documented performance history within the Awakening.
Number 6 carries connections to Blindworm’s earlier sculptural builds (Cragg, Kraken). and is a classy, fully functional Origin Bender — a piece of history and a stage-ready sonic tool.
At its core is the patented frequency-bending mechanism (U.S. Patent No. 10,943,568).
